The inquest into the death of mother of six Kathleen Thompson is due to commence on 23 October 2017. Kathleen was shot dead by a British soldier as she stood in her garden in Rathlin Drive in Creggan on 6 November 1971.
The Coroner is seeking assistance from anyone who may have information concerning the shooting who has not provided information before.  A "witness surgery" is taking place today in the Verbal Art's Centre in Derry between 10am - 6pm.
